I was born in New York and grew up in the suburbs of New York City. After graduating from The University of Virginia in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in both Fine Art and English Literature, I was accepted to the Vermont Studio Center where I spent time making mixed media work before returning to New York. I received my Masters in Fine Art from the Photography & Related Media Department at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, culminating in an exhibition of photographic mixed media works at the Visual Arts Gallery in Soho. I was accepted to the Bronx Museum’s Artists in the Marketplace seminar program, resulting in a museum group exhibition. Since then, I have exhibited in group shows in and around the New York City area, and shown and sold work directly from my studio, while also cultivating a decades-long career as a creative director. My work deals with the psychology of home and space and along with photographs, it has at times incorporated a variety of medium including, metal, glass and natural materials. My current body of work is comprised of digitally printed photographic images, and my studio is located in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn.
